"The website is somewhat helpful, but I’ll fill in what was missing and helpful to me to know for my day-trip to Arena Landing yesterday.
All black hawk river runs start upstream, which means you paddle down river and get picked up by their shuttle service.
Day Trip ($60 - canoe)
You are only able to paddle to Arena Landing for day-trips. You cannot get picked up at any other landing same-day.
If you leave by 10, you can select a 3PM or 5PM pickup at Arena Landing.
If you leave by noon, you can select only the 5PM pickup at Arena Landing.
Overnight - Arena ($85 - canoe)
Same as above, but you’re able to pick 1PM as an additional shuttle pickup time in addition to 3PM and 5PM.
Overnight - Spring Green/Peck’s Landing ($95 - canoe)
Pickup options are for overnight only. You cannot day-trip to Spring Green (Peck’s Landing)
Pickup time options are noon, 2PM and 4PM the next day.
The paddle is probably 20 miles but I don’t know for sure.
Pets
Allowed on the shuttle. Must be leashed and have control over them.
Allowed in canoes.
A note about the Arena Landing: this landing is landlocked which means it involves a 100-foot portage over the sand, then getting back in the water and canoeing another 100 feet to the sandy landing. Do not use the paved landing, that is for the public. Get out on the beach since that's where the bus is - it's a separate road. It can be a little hard to see but google maps GPS and an explanation by the owner will ensure you don’t miss it.
This service is only 25 minutes away from my home and I’m definitely going to use them for day-trips where I don’t want to drive multiple cars. I found everyone to be helpful, kind and enthusiastic."
